The Role

Ensure the safety of care home residents and staff.
Maintain premises and grounds to a high standard.
Perform regular maintenance checks.
Carry out necessary repairs.
Contact engineers or service agents when needed.
Conduct fire, basic electrical, and appliance checks with confidence.
Report and promptly action any faults.
Keep the grounds tidy.
Carry out general redecoration work.
Promote the well-being of residents.
Contribute to the successful running of the care home as a valuable member of the team.

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

My background is in nursing – I gained a nursing degree in the Philippines, and, after I moved to the UK, I qualified as a nurse here too. I worked in the NHS before I moved into working in care homes, and I joined Care UK in 2004.

Im passionate about delivering great care, and Im always striving to improve all aspects of what we do at Elizabeth Lodge. I have a wonderful, supportive team and I love motivating and inspiring them to fulfil their own potential while achieving fantastic outcomes for the people we care for.

For me, the best thing is seeing residents and colleagues enjoying their day and spending time together. Theres no better feeling than knowing that weve made a difference to a persons day.
