The Role

Helping residents to remain as active and independent as possible
Helping identify residents’ unique goals and implement personalised activity plans
Supporting residents explore new interests, engage in physical activities, and enjoy themselves in a stimulating and homely environment
Working with families, residents, and local communities to create meaningful experiences for residents
Create a sense of fun, flexibility, and creative thinking to provide new experiences and activities to meet a diverse range of interests
Offer a mature, sensible outlook showing commitment, initiative, and desire to enhance the lives of residents

I’m delighted to be part of the Care UK team, bringing my experience as a Registered Nurse and my BSc in Dementia Studies from the University of Bradford to my role.

I believe a successful Home Manager needs to be compassionate, resilient, and an effective leader. Good communication, sound judgement, and integrity are also essential, alongside a commitment to delivering safe, dignified, and person-centred care while supporting colleagues to reach their full potential.

My favourite part of the day is seeing residents happy, engaged, and enjoying meaningful activities while our team works together to provide outstanding care. It is particularly rewarding to see residents achieve personal goals and receive positive feedback from families, knowing that the support we provide is making a real difference.

What makes me most proud is leading a dedicated team that puts residents’ wellbeing at the heart of everything they do, creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment for everyone in the home. For me, the most important part of my role is knowing that the decisions I make each day help residents live safely, comfortably, and with dignity, while supporting my team to provide the best possible care.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking, dancing, and attending church twice a week.
