The role:

To take responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the care home and to achieve an industry leading standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and effective management for all staff employed in the home.
Promote a caring environment that is delivered according to latest guidelines, best practice, legislative and regulatory requirements. Ensure the effective financial and commercial management of the home in accordance with company policy.
Ensure that a high level of satisfaction with the service is achieved and maintained as well as maintaining excellent relationships with relatives, residents, purchasers and external agencies to build and maintain a positive reputation in the local community.

What We're Looking For:

2-3+ years Home Manager experience.
Commissioning experience
Care of older people in a Residential and Dementia setting
Ability to control and manage a budget and accounts.
Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Health and Safety Legislation
Ability to raise standards through innovation and new ideas

I decided to join Care UK because I wanted to make a positive difference in residents’ lives, ensuring they live life to the full while receiving the highest quality care. I hold a Diploma Level 5 in Management and have built my career around dementia care, where I’ve previously worked as a Dementia Care Manager. These experiences have given me the skills and knowledge I need to lead with passion, patience, commitment and empathy.

The best part of my day is seeing and speaking to happy staff and residents, and knowing that together we’ve created the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Westfield Park is known for.

One of my proudest achievements in my career has been becoming a registered manager, and I’m equally proud of the positive feedback we consistently receive from families and visitors to the home.

Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with family and friends and heading off on holidays whenever I can.
