The Role

Leading and supervising your shift
Case managing residents and liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that the best care plans are created and delivered
Administering and recording medication
Carrying out risk assessments
Working alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring residents remain as active and independent as possible
Working closely with the leadership team to develop services
Provide a fun, inclusive, and professional approach at all times

About You

NVQ Level 3 in health and social care desirable
Be well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately
Proven ability to lead and supervise others
A good understanding of care planning processes
Be experienced in or happy to undertake training on administering medication
Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling

We’ve all worked incredibly hard to develop a family atmosphere at Montagu Hall. I want to make sure that all residents and colleagues feel this is a kind, caring environment where they are supported and can thrive.

I have NVQs in end-of-life care and dementia care, and I am also a Dementia Friend. I also hold a Level 5 NVQ in Adult Social Care. Being a Home Manager requires strong leadership and, for me, a big part of that is being supportive and offering encouragement. I believe it is important to be kind, understanding, and patient.

I love seeing residents smile, and I particularly enjoy the first thing in the morning when there are lots of cheery ‘hellos’.

Our roles here make a real difference to people’s everyday lives, which is incredibly rewarding. It was especially rewarding to have this recognised in our first CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection, where we received an overall ‘Outstanding’ rating. Achieving ‘Outstanding’ in both the ‘Well-led’ and ‘Caring’ categories is a testament to our hard work and commitment.

When I’m not at Montagu Hall, I enjoy walking my dog and taking holidays in my campervan.
