A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.
My approach as a Home manager centres on honesty and integrity, consistently displaying empathy, compassion, and respect toward every resident and colleague. Leading by example and fostering trusting working relationships are fundamental to my leadership style.
Clear communication with a listening ear is vital; this creates a positive workplace culture where team members feel safe to speak openly. This openness strengthens our team’s ability to provide excellent care to our residents. In turn, my team supports and takes care of me, creating a harmonious and caring environment for everyone involved.
My favourite part of the working day is spending time with our residents and team, sharing ideas, finding solutions, and learning more about each other. It’s the connection and togetherness that truly energises me. And at the end of the day, I look forward to going home to my family, feeling fulfilled by the meaningful work we’ve done together.
My biggest career highlight to date is the personal fulfilment I get from helping someone maintain their independence. Seeing our residents comfortable, smiling, and happy is truly rewarding. Hearing positive feedback from residents and their families not only motivates me but also allows me to share these moments.
What makes me proud in my role is when the Home achieves a good CQC rating, receives positive feedback, and enjoys strong support from families. These achievements inspire me to continue supporting my team in delivering excellent care every day.
