Join our team and you'll have the chance to get creative in the kitchen while cooking up nutritious, well-balanced meals that have a direct impact on residents’ health and wellbeing.

Many catering colleagues join us from restaurants or hotels where they’re used to working long hours late into the night. In a care home, you’ll work more sociable hours, and you’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships by getting to know residents and their tastes and preferences. This is a role where you can really make a difference.

Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I have almost 20 years of experience in the health and social care sector, starting my career as a care assistant and working my way up to become a home manager. Along the way, I’ve gained many skills and qualifications, including completing my Level 5 diploma. I’ve been a home manager since 2017 and achieving this goal has been one of my proudest career highlights.

I chose to join Care UK because of its strong reputation for delivering quality care. It’s important to me to be part of an organisation that shares my values of compassion and empathy. For my role, understanding, patience and good listening skills are essential.

The best part of my day is knowing that we have supported residents with their day-to-day needs, ensuring that we provide good quality care and create a positive environment for everyone who lives at Riverside care home.

Providing a good quality service is the most important part of my role, and I’m proud to lead a team committed to making a real difference every day.
