Hinton Grange care home in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Hinton Grange care home has now closed.

Hinton Grange was an older home lacking the modern design to better meet the needs of those who are frail or are living with dementia.  It also didn’t have up-to-date facilities such as en-suite wet-rooms or a coffee shop.

As a result, we had found that demand for places at Hinton Grange had fallen quite considerably as potential residents and their families chose other, more modern homes in the area with environments that better support people with advanced dementia as well as providing more luxurious surroundings.

In the spring of 2019, we hope to start work on building a brand new care home on the same site.  Its design will incorporate all the latest thinking on modern homes with generous-sized bedrooms, each with its own fully accessible wet room. There will be a coffee shop, cinema and landscaped gardens.

Over the past five years, Care UK has opened over 30 new care homes – more than any other provider. We will use the experience gained during this programme to establish a fantastic new home on this site here in Cambridgeshire.
