Residents at Glastonbury Court receive Valentine’s Day surprise

Home news

Residents at Glastonbury Court received a special surprise visit on Valentine’s Day from local police officers.

Officers from St Edmundsbury Police’s Safer Neighbourhood Team paid a visit to the home, to deliver flowers to residents.

Alison Hempstead, lifestyle coordinator at the home, said: “At undoubtedly the most romantic time of the year we wanted to give the residents a Valentine’s surprise to spread the love at Glastonbury Court.

“The residents were completely surprised when the policemen and women walked in holding bouquets of flowers – and there were certainly lots of smiling faces from residents and the Care UK team alike.

“Here at the home it is important for us to ensure we are a part of the community, so we’d like to say a big thank you to the policemen and women for giving up their time to pop in and visit the residents – it really made their day.”
