Daily life

We believe in filling each day with fun and variety – giving residents a choice of activities and experiences that are fulfilling and give them purpose.

Whether your loved one wants to keep fit in a gentle socially distanced exercise class, get creative in an art class, enjoy afternoon teas, quizzes or virtual entertainers – they can do all of this and more at Mountbatten Grange.

Time for your loved onemounbatten fb

If your loved one prefers some one-to-one time, our team will spend time with them taking part in what they might enjoy – this might be reading the newspaper together, reminiscing, doing a crossword or just having a chat over a cup of tea. Many residents also enjoy helping out around the home, such as planting in the garden or working with the maintenance team on some DIY. 

We encourage residents to share their goals and wishes with us, and then we make them happen.

Part of the Windsor community

We’ve already become an integral part of the Windsor community and we’re here to support your loved one to stay connected to local life. If there’s a society, club or church that they would like to continue to go to, we’ll support them to do so. Pre-COVID, we also invited local groups and volunteers into the home – including school groups – to chat to residents and do activities, and we’ve been able to maintain many of these relationships through letters and also keep in touch via electronic tablets in the home.

Fine food in good company

Enjoying great food is important at Mountbatten Grange. The talented chef-led catering team creates delicious and nutritious menus tailored to individual tastes. They will meet with your loved one when they first move in to learn about the foods and drink they love. That way, they can create menus that include their favourite dishes while catering for their particular dietary requirements. The team are adept at creating delicious, freshly cooked meals with plenty of choice, and can also cater for any dietary requirements, such as religious needs, allergies or where a resident has dysphagia.  

Residents are able to help themselves to drinks and snacks at any time of the day or night, or of course one of our team members will bring them tasty snacks and drinks whenever they would like them. We are also able to offer an extended in-room dining menu for those that need or want it – this includes lots of choice including full cooked meals as well as sandwiches and lighter bites.
