Our lifestyle coordinators plan, organise and run one-to-one and group activities, all based around residents’ interests and hobbies.
We believe that living at Mountfitchet House should be just as rewarding for your loved one as life was for them before they moved here – or better, if possible. There’s no limit to what your loved one can do here, and we tailor everything we do to suit their needs, interests and wishes so that they enjoy meaningful experiences.
Keeping busy every day
Our lifestyle team plans regular, socially distanced group activities that include coffee mornings, baking, gardening, quizzes and games.
At Mountfitchet House we understand the importance of socialising, and appreciate that group activities aren’t for everyone, so we always have time for one-to-one activities with your loved one too. We also help people to maintain their independence for as long as possible by supporting them to have a small job around the home.
Enjoying good food
Delicious, home cooked food is a key ingredient for enjoying life in a care home, and our chefs prepare meals made from the very best ingredients. Despite social distancing, mealtimes are still a social occasion within the home, and residents can enjoy their meals in the bistro-style dining rooms. Alternatively, in-room dinning is available if your loved one would prefer, or need, additional distancing.
We cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements, and there’s always plenty of choice. We also plan special menus and treats to celebrate events like Easter and Christmas, Chinese New Year or even Halloween.
