At Priors House are proud to provide 24/7 care to older people with a wide range of needs, all year round.

Our comfortable modern home is one of over 100 run by Care UK, one of the UK’s largest residential care providers, serving over 7,000 people daily. We have been rated  ‘good’ overall from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with  an ‘outstanding’ rating for our responsive approach to people’s needs.

Here, our award winning team is dedicated to delivering personalised support that’s tailored exactly to your loved one’s needs. We’ll do all we can to really get to know them, understand their likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests so we can create a bespoke care plan which includes meaningful activities and delicious food they love to eat..

Dementia care

Every aspect of life in our sunny and spacious home is designed around the needs of your loved one living with dementia. We’ve taken every step possible to ensure that it’s a safe and stimulating environment for them to maintain their sense of identity and independence - from well-designed spaces, stimulation and sensory areas to planned activities proven to aid reminiscence. 

Your loved one is encouraged to bring treasured possessions to fill their bedroom, which is furnished to a high standard, making it feel even more like home.

Nursing care

Our highly qualified nursing team provide care for a variety of complex conditions including multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and Motor Neurone Disease. We’ll work closely with GPs and specialist medical professionals to create a comprehensive bespoke plan tailored to your loved one’s needs.. At no time of the day or night will they be without full access to one of our capable colleagues.

Residential care

With a variety of engaging activities, there’s no end of interesting additions to your loved one’s busy lifestyle. There are art and music sessions, gentle movement and dance classes to keep them active -  why not enjoy our cocktail evenings and pub nights. Our cafe is at the very heart of the home, which is a great place for a catch up over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. For quality quiet time, why not browse our well-chosen selection of books and films? 

After a busy day, your loved one can retire to their own bedroom, decorated to a high standard and home to familiar belongings. You’ll have complete peace of mind knowing that your loved one’s never far away from a sympathetic member of our qualified team.

For hard-working carers looking after a loved one at home, our short-term respite care options are just the thing to provide a well-earned break. Let us take over for a while, so you can enjoy some much-needed ‘me time’ and recharge emotionally and physically from the great work you do. Our friendly team is also able to offer convalescent care for those needing extra TLC following a hospital stay.
