Everything about life here is about supporting residents to keep active and independent.
Our lifestyle coordinators plan daily activities around the interests and abilities of residents, and we offer a unique mix of options. This includes anything from quizzes and exercise classes, to gardening, baking, sing-alongs, virtual entertainers and arts and crafts. Of course, with COVID, some of the activities may look a little different and all are socially distanced, but we’ve been able to work to run favourite things to do, and even think up some new ones.
Time to dine
Each of the home’s four floors is divided into two suites, with a bistro-style dining area and comfortable lounge linking the two wings. We believe in the importance of helping residents to continue enjoying good food: our chef-led catering team serve up delicious and nutritious meals every day, all made from fresh ingredients and all tailored to residents’ unique tastes, diets and cultural needs.
Appetites change as we get older, and residents may find they’re peckish at different times of the day. We’re happy to serve a meal at a time that suits a resident. There are also drinks, snacks and treats available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For residents that need, or would prefer, to dine in their room, we offer an extended in-room dining menu, with lots of choice of delicious cooked meals as well as smaller bites.
We love to find ways to make your loved one feel special and bring a smile to their face. We’ll always celebrate their birthday and other anniversaries in style, and take advantage of national days and events to have some fun and enjoy good food. Whether it’s trying some new foods for Chinese New Year, getting patriotic on St George’s Day, , there’s always something to look forward to, and we’ve worked hard during COVID to find innovative ways to continue to celebrate and have fun throughout.
