Home Manager
I started in care at 18 as a community care worker, progressing into residential care and continuing my journey through to management in a residential & dementia care setting.
During that time, I have gained extensive knowledge and qualifications that have used in my management roles.
It’s a pleasure to be able to join a team with strong values and supportive systems in place. I am committed to ensuring that Cayton View is the first choice for those seeking care in our community and to assist quickly and efficiently with any questions or enquiries that may arise.
Clear communication is key, as well as being adaptable and able to multitask while maintaining high standards. My favourite part of the day is meeting residents and hearing their stories. I love chatting to them about their families, their hobbies and the holidays they have enjoyed.
I am proud to represent Care UK and to support families at such an important time of their lives. Being able to welcome people to Cayton View and guide them through their journey from first enquiry to moving in is a joy. It’s a real privilege to work in a beautiful home, showcasing all the rooms, dining facilities and lounges and I class myself very lucky to be able to call this my workplace.
Outside work, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family. Much of my week is spent supporting my daughter at competitive swim training, often from early morning starts to long weekends at competitions.
Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.
Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.
The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.
Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.
From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.
All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes.
Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
