Chris Ashton

I’ve been a Registered General Nurse for 33 years. After working in the NHS as a Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse, I went on to hold various senior roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Head of Care and Operations, and Company Director for both large and smaller care home providers.

My days are very varied and, as Home Manager of a busy care home, I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the home and ensuring the best possible care for everyone living in our community. I draw on my experience every day and share my knowledge with the team to support them in delivering great care.

The most rewarding part of my role is seeing our residents enjoy meaningful experiences and seeing colleagues take pride in caring for them. I believe everything we do should be delivered with compassion and kindness, and I am incredibly proud to lead a team that demonstrates these values every day.

Family is hugely important to me, and I bring those same values to my role at Denham Manor. I would be delighted to welcome you to our home, introduce you to the team, and show you around.

I’ve been working at Denham Manor for 5 years.

I started as a domestic assistant and have worked my way up to being the deputy manager. Our residents are our family and are truly at the heart of everything we do. I’m always here to help and support.

Having worked at Denham Manor for seven years across a variety of roles, I love helping residents create wonderful memories with their families.

Learning about residents' lives and bringing smiles to their faces makes every day special. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family and my nieces and nephews.

I have been working at Denham Manor for over 17 years.

I started as a weekend kitchen assistant and worked my way through all different roles in the home to the administrator, I enjoy my role within the home and meeting all the new potential residents and visitors that come into the home. I can honestly say it feels like home at Denham Manor and the care is at the heart of all our team.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes. 

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
