Field Lodge hosted a very special party complete with all the colours of the rainbow to celebrate LGBT+ Pride last month.
The team and residents at Care UK’s Field Lodge care home, on London Road, enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon in support of LGBT+ Pride month. Surrounded by rainbow decorations and with multi-coloured flags in hand, the residents and team members were entertained by a drag queen named Steven Wicks, who had everyone singing and laughing all afternoon.
All team members at Field Lodge have taken part in equality and diversity training as part of the home’s dedication to creating an open and welcoming environment.
Linda Martinez, home manager at Field Lodge said: “Here at Field Lodge, we are committed to ensuring the home is a warm and supportive place for everyone, from residents and team members to visitors, so we were delighted to be able to show our support to LGBT+ Pride month with a very special celebration.
“Pride month has a wonderful way of bringing people together and we were thrilled that everyone enjoyed the celebration. I would like to say a big thank you to Steven Wicks for keeping everyone entertained!”
