Francis Court has welcomed toddlers from a local primary school to enjoy mornings of arts and crafts with residents.
The team has introduced visits from Copthorne Preparatory School, and is welcoming the children weekly to join them for some fun-filled mornings.
The activities have been designed with the help of residents, and entail a number of arts-based activities, as well as games, to keep the younger generation entertained.
Mary Ann, home manager at Francis Court, said: “We are thrilled to be joined by the nursery children every week. The residents really enjoy helping us set up and decorate the home, and love spending time with the children, playing a variety of games and creating beautiful artwork together.
“Intergenerational relationships have been proven to be beneficial to older people, and it is certainly a highlight of the week for the residents at Francis Court. We would like to say thank you to the children from Copthorne Preparatory School for joining us, and look forward to future sessions!”
