Silversprings has welcomed two new members of the team with the appointment of a home manager and deputy manager.
Donna Cousins will lead the team at Silversprings, having worked at a number of homes within Care UK since 1991.
Over the last 26 years, Donna has taken on a variety of roles, including director of quality and governance, and home manager at Elizabeth Lodge in Enfield. Donna’s new positon will see her take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Silversprings, which accommodates up to 64 residents.
Commenting on her new position, Donna said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager at Silversprings, and I look forward to working alongside the skilled and passionate team.”
“I believe that to be a successful home manager you need to be a good listener and a supportive team leader. Making sure we have a good quality service to ensure residents feel safe, secure, and looked after is key – and I look forward to leading the team at Silversprings.”
The care home has also recently appointed Mandy Demba as deputy home manager. Mandy holds a number of leadership qualifications and has spent much of her career working at various levels within the health and social care sector.
Mandy said: “I am thrilled to be taking on this new role here in Thorrington, and am looking forward to getting to know the residents and families at the home. I pride myself on my honesty, organisation and friendly demeanour, which I hope will serve me well as I start my new journey at Silversprings.”
