Local people in Stratford-upon-Avon are invited to get into the carnival spirit at Ambleside care home on Saturday 10th September.
From 12pm to 4pm, visitors can drop into care home on Evesham Road to celebrate Team GB’s achievements at this year’s Olympic Games and the launch of the upcoming Paralympics, with a Rio-inspired barbecue and a host of carnival-themed activities.
Visitors will also be able to take part in Olympic-style games and there will be a prize for the best Rio Carnival outfit. There will also be live entertainment from Champagne Enterprise, who perform music from all eras, to get people in the party spirit.
Dawn Leaver, home manager at Ambleside, said: “The residents at Ambleside really enjoyed watching the Olympic Games and supporting our athletes. There is a real buzz around the care home following the success of Team GB, and everyone is looking forward to celebrating their achievements at our Rio-inspired fiesta.
“At Ambleside it is important for us to build strong relationships with the local community, and we hope members of the public will join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun and games.”
