Perry Manor are inviting members of the community to its monthly dementia café.
On Wednesday 14th February, from 10am-12noon, the community are invited to come along to Perry Manor for a free advice and social group.
The monthly café provides guidance and practical support for people living with, or caring for a loved one, living with dementia. The friendly team at Perry Manor will provide professional tips and advice for day-to-day care, getting out and about, and support available in the local area. It’s also a chance for carers and people who are cared for to meet each other in a safe and friendly environment, and share their personal experiences.
Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “At Perry Manor, we strive to create a sense of belonging within the home, as well as building strong links and support systems for our neighbours.
“We have built a warm, welcoming community here and it’s great to invite the local community to our regular dementia café sessions – which are already proving to be popular. We believe that no carer should feel that they are alone and these monthly sessions offer a place for anybody within the local community to come and join us for complementary tea, coffee, cake and a chat.”
