Darlington Court is inviting local people to visit the home on Saturday 17th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 2pm-5pm, the team at Darlington Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Darlington Court has organised a world cuisine party to celebrate the open day. The home’s chefs will be treating guests to afternoon tea with a selection of cakes from around the world. There will be live entertainment from singer Louise Radcliffe, who will be performing from 3pm, and visitors are invited to wear national clothing in celebration of the theme, with a prize for the best dressed.
Fiona Wiederkehr, home manager at Darlington Court, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Darlington Court has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Littlehampton.”
