Parsons Grange - care-types

Care types

We at Parsons Grange in Shinfield are proud to provide care for older people with a wide variety of needs, 24 hours a day, all year round.

With person-centred care at the heart of what we do, we treat getting to know your loved one really well as our highest priority. That’s how we can be sure of delivering them the very best support, down to the smallest detail, creating a rich and fulfilling experience that’s based entirely around their unique needs and preferences. As part of Care UK, one of the country’s leading residential care providers, we’re one of over 130 care homes that help over 6,500 people every day.

With so much to consider when choosing a place for your loved one to live, we know this can be a daunting task at first. That’s why we’ve compiled the following handy guide to the types of care we offer.

Dementia care

Here in our spacious, custom-built home, every aspect of life is based around the needs of our valued residents, including those living with dementia. From sunny, open spaces like our lounges and attractive dining rooms, to secure gardens for invigorating time spent in nature, we strive to provide an environment that’s safe and stimulating. Because your loved one’s sense of identity and independence is as important to us as it is to you, they’ll benefit from a varying roster of entertainment and activities designed to aid reminiscence and promote freedom of choice, such as music, art and gentle movement.

In their comfortable private room, we encourage your loved one to surround themselves with familiar belongings to help them feel at home. It’ll be a great place for them to relax or catch up with a favourite television show. We’ll keep everything spick and span, including laundry, as well as providing discreet personal care such as bathing and dressing if needed. You’ll have complete reassurance that your loved one will have full access to one of our team members at any hour of the day or night.
