Our purpose-built care home in Reading provides high quality care for older people in stunning surroundings. The expert team deliver first class residential, dementia care and nursing care, as well as compassionate end of life care.

Every aspect of Parsons Grange in Shinfield - Reading, Berkshire, has been designed to support your loved one to enjoy each day in the way they want. Here you’ll discover a café, a hair and beauty salon, a bar and a cinema, plus beautiful lounges and activity rooms – all for your loved one to use whenever they wish.

Each of the bedrooms at our care home in Berkshire has an en-suite wet-room, 24-hour nurse call system and flat screen TV, and are beautifully furnished. Some even have direct garden access.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

My loved one receives excellent care. There is good continuity of team, so he has the same manager day to day and the care team are familiar to him. The manager's door is always open, which is always a good sign, and she knows all of the residents and their individual needs. She’s often walking around the home and she will always say hello and ask how I’m doing. She’s very good at ensuring families feel in touch with what’s happening in the home, I’m invited to join regular meetings and encouraged to have my say.

Its a very friendly environment, not too big, so it feels like a community rather than an institution. In previous care homes, my loved one had regular hospital admissions, but here the team are more attentive to her condition and more proactive if she begins to go downhill, so thankfully she spends more time in the home than in hospital. It’s a much better environment for her and the care feels much more personal to her needs. It’s a small team responsible for her care, so there is stability, which is important, and she has been able to get to know them.

We visited four different care homes in the area before choosing Parsons Grange. They came out No.1 for appearance, facilities, atmosphere and team. It's the personality and attentiveness of the team that really makes the place special. They know and understand my loved one for who she is, and they are dedicated to helping her make the most of her days.

All of my loved one's needs are met beautifully. He requires daily medication and some personal care. Nothing is a bother for them and they are so mindful of his dignity. They really do care about him and about me. They keep me completely in the loop about what's going on. He is very well looked after and I can see he is happy in his own way.
