Francine Summers

home manager

I’ve managed care homes before I joined Care UK and was even an area manager, overseeing a number of homes. I’ve also worked as a ‘turnaround manager’ too – helping care homes to gain regulatory compliance – so I’ve lots of experience in care homes.

There’s a lot to do when you’re a home manager, but the best bit is having a coffee with the residents and chatting with them. When I can I also join in with activities because it’s wonderful seeing residents enjoying themselves – after all, that’s why we do what we do. I love seeing happy residents living fulfilling lives in our warm and friendly home.

Harvinder Rai

deputy home manager

My background is in mental health nursing. I moved to Priors House when it opened as I wanted to be part of a forward-thinking organisation. It was quite a challenge moving from being a unit manager to becoming deputy manager, but I’m really enjoying each day. No two days are the same, and every new challenge presents an opportunity to learn something new.

Priors House is a fantastic home and I’m very proud to work here. We’re delivering excellent care and I’m determined for us to get an ‘outstanding’ rating from the CQC!

Frankie Brennan

customer relations manager

My background is in hospitality and events (I won an award for customer service excellence in the South West Tourism Awards), and I’m looking forward to using my skills in my new role here at Priors House.

My role is very varied, which is what’s so great about it, and I love all aspects of it –getting to know the residents and their families and showing prospective residents and their families around the home. It’s a beautiful home with a great team.

Outside of work I love cooking and eating out, socialising with friends and going for walks in the beautiful Warwickshire or Worcestershire countryside.

Coral Arrowsmith

lifestyle coordinator

Before joining Priors House I worked in customer services in a retirement village, which was all about helping residents to enjoy every day. I decided to move because I wanted to be more involved in helping people and connecting with individual residents – to be more at the heart of their care.

I love getting to know all the residents and hearing their stories and knowing that I’m having a positive impact on their life. I also enjoy having the chance to bring a smile to residents’ faces – even if it’s with a small gift that shows I’m thinking of them. Looking ahead, I’d like to organise an exhibition of residents’ art work as I run an art class at the home and we’ve got lots of fantastic pieces to show off.

Marcin Ignatowicz

head chef

I’ve not worked in the care sector before, so joining Care UK, and Priors House, in mid 2014 was a turning point for me. It’s enabled me to learn new skills and interact with people I would never have met and supported.

I love hearing feedback from the residents after lunch. They’re honest and I get lots of ideas for ways to improve and tailor menus! Outside of work I also enjoy cooking, as well as watching films and following Formula One.

Diane Hobbins

head housekeeper

I love the sense of satisfaction that comes with seeing our beautiful home looking fantastic and clean, and knowing all the laundry is done. I have an eye for detail – it’s vital in this role – so my job is never really done. I always spot something else that needs doing!

I have a lovely team here and I would never ask them to do anything I wouldn’t be prepared to do. I have to say the best thing about my role is talking to the residents; listening to their life stories is amazing – their lives have been fascinating and very different.

Outside of work I like to knit for family and friends. In fact, I’m currently knitting poppies for the home to sell for Rememberance Day.
