Perry Manor care home flies the flag for St. George’s Day

Home news

Perry Manor celebrated St George’s Day in style with a traditional English afternoon tea and live entertainment.

To mark the feast day of St George on Thursday 23 April, residents and their families enjoyed scones with jam and cream, finger sandwiches and cakes along with live music from classical cellist Holly Daffurn.

Home manager, Mike Dearn, said: “St George’s Day gave us the perfect opportunity to bring residents and their loved ones together for an afternoon of celebration and everyone had a great time. Not only did we enjoy a delicious afternoon tea but also a wonderful cello performance all in honour of England’s patron saint.”
