Older people invited to join in weekly coffee mornings at new Ipswich day care centre

Home news

A new care home and day care centre in Ipswich is offering local people an opportunity to enjoy a free hot drink and a chat at the Prince George Club, adjacent to the new Prince George House care home on Mansbrook Boulevard in the Ravenswood area of the town.

The Prince George Club will be hosting free coffee mornings every Tuesday from 11th August, between 10am-12noon.

People who attend the coffee morning will have the opportunity to meet new friends and join Club members for activities like games, crafts, baking or gardening, if they wish. There will also be the opportunity to take a look around the adjacent Prince George House care home in Ipswich and meet with the Care UK team. Family carers, friends and relatives are also very welcome to attend.

Magda Kurdziel, Club manager at the Prince George Club, said: “We would like the Club to be a real community asset; supporting older people in the local community to continue keep active whilst maintaining independence in their own homes. We hope the coffee mornings will be a great benefit for the local community and we look forward to welcoming many new faces to the Club.”

The well-trained and compassionate team, led by Magda at the Prince George Club, provide flexible day care for older people, those who need a bit of extra support with a nursing need and those living with dementia, at times to suit the needs of members and family carers.
