Members of the public can drop in between 10am and 4pm across the four days for their chance to take a tour around the completed 80-bed care home and meet the team, including customer relations manager Pam Wilson.
Pam commented: “The team at Abney Court is looking forward to welcoming the first residents to their new home. We are really proud of the environment that has been created, every last detail here has been considered to create a high-quality, luxury care home which will enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives.
“Situated within the impressive grounds of Abney Hall, Abney Court residents will be able to enjoy all the benefits of living in a state-of-the-art care home, including a stylish cinema, a well-equipped hairdressing and beauty salon and a coffee shop. There is also a ground floor garden room, which will allow residents to enjoy views of the beautiful gardens no matter what the time of year.
“The open days will give visitors the chance to see the care home for themselves and to talk to the team, while also getting an insight into what day-to-day life will be like at Abney Court. They can also find out more about the kind of activities that will be on offer.”
Abney Court, on Manchester Road, will help to meet local demand for a range of care services, from residential and specialist dementia care, to short-term respite and sensitive palliative end of life care.
Each individual bedroom at the care home will benefit from an ensuite wet room, together with a flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed, and 24-hour nurse call system.
