From 2pm to 4pm, visitors can drop-in to the care home to take a first look at the suite, which will offer specialist residential care for 11 older people. To mark the opening, residents and the care team will join with guest of honour, the Mayor of Worcester, Roger Knight, to perform the all-important ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be live entertainment from the Poppy Sisters to get everyone in the party spirit.
Pushpa Sagoo, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “The unveiling of the Elgar suite is an important milestone for all of us at Perry Manor, as it means we can now meet the demand in Worcester and beyond for residential care.
“We have built a warm, welcoming community here at Perry Manor, with everything in place so we can provide the highest standards of personalised care, and it is great that we are in a position to build on our existing provision and expand our offering. We are really looking forward to welcoming new residents to the Elgar suite over the coming months and hope local people will join us as we celebrate its opening.”
