New home manager takes to the helm of Worcester care home

Home news

Perry Manor care home in Worcester has welcomed a new member of the team with the appointment of Pushpa Sagoo as home manager.

Pushpa, from Warwickshire, will lead the 110-strong team at Perry Manor, with responsibility for the day to day running of the care home. Having qualified as a nurse almost 30 years ago, and with a master’s degree in public service management, Pushpa has built up extensive experience in the care sector and has been a home manager for 10 years.

Commenting on her new position, Pushpa said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager at one of Care UK’s most popular homes and I am excited to be heading up a team of committed and compassionate individuals at Perry Manor.

“I strongly believe the residents should be the focus of the home and at the centre of everything we do – Perry Manor is their home and the Care UK team are guests within it. I will be leading by example in ensuring residents continue to lead active and fulfilled lives in a peaceful environment, and I look forward to getting to know them and their families.”

Daniel Turner-Naylor, regional director at Care UK, said: “Pushpa’s appointment strengthens the team here at Perry Manor, and we are all very pleased to have her on board. This is one of Care UK’s most popular homes and, while every detail has been considered to provide the highest standards of care, having the right people working in the home is key to the overall experience of residents.

“Pushpa is a highly experienced, motivated individual and she has had a successful track record in the care sector to date. I know she will play an important part in driving standards to ensure Perry Manor builds on its reputation for quality, person-centred care.”
