Topping off a fantastic year, the team at Perry Manor will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. There will be activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including balloon volley ball and a tombola. There will also be live entertainment from The Jookulele band.
The anniversary celebration at Perry Manor also coincides with Care Home Open Day. This annual initiative is aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, creating lasting links between care homes, residents and their local communities, and developing relationships across the generations.
Pushpa Sagoo, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “Since we first opened the doors here in June 2014, we have welcomed a total of 193 residents to Perry Manor for long-term or respite care.
“There have been so many highlights over the last year and our second anniversary is a very exciting milestone for everyone. We are privileged to have the opportunity to care for the wonderful residents who have made Perry Manor their home and to provide support to their families. The party is a big ‘thank you’ to residents and their families and friends, as well as the amazing staff who endeavour to provide the best possible care all year round.
“It is great that our anniversary coincides with Care Home Open Day and we cannot wait to showcase everything Perry Manor has to offer and show the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Worcester.”
Visitors to the Care Home Open Day event at Perry Manor will also be able to pick up their copy of Care UK’s Eating as we Age. The latest in a series of free guides for family carers, Eating as we age is packed with hints and tips for keeping healthy and hydrated in older age.
