From 1pm-4.30pm, the team at Sherwood Grange will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Sherwood Grange has organised a Mad Hatter’s themed garden party to celebrate the open day. As we all enjoying a selection of refreshments, guests can also browse a number of stalls selling hand-made gifts and take part in fun garden games.
The residents and team members at Sherwood Grange will also be celebrating the home’s first birthday, with the official cake cutting ceremony taking place at 2.30pm.
Rick Mayne, home manager at Sherwood Grange, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Sherwood Grange has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Kingston.”
