On Thursday 27th July, from 2pm-3pm, the Care UK team at Sherwood Grange will open the doors to the care home for its free ‘A helping hand’ event.
Following the launch of Care UK’s new guide for carers, A helping hand, the event aims to provide guidance and support to families caring for a loved one, and explores the different ways in which carers can ensure they maintain their own health and wellbeing. The team at Sherwood Grange will be on hand to discuss topics within the guide in further detail, and will be on hand to explain the different sources available to carers which offer further support and advice.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Sherwood Grange and take a tour of the care home.
Sherwood Grange home manager, Rick Mayne, said: “Here at Sherwood Grange we strongly believe that being informed and sharing experiences can make a real difference to those caring for a loved one.
“Similar events have proven to be incredibly popular, so we are looking forward to welcoming local people to Sherwood Grange for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.
“As well as having the opportunity to discuss a number of topics in person with the team here at Sherwood Grange, those who attend the event will also be able to pick up a copy of the new guide, A helping hand, to take away with them.”
