Abney Court hosts birthday celebration with a tropical twist

Home news

Abney Court hosted a tropical themed party to celebrate its second birthday.

The team at Abney Court, opened its doors to the local community for an afternoon of cocktails, fun and entertainment to mark the milestone.

Residents and visitors took part in a Caribbean cocktail masterclass and enjoyed a delicious barbecue, prepared specially by the care home’s chefs - while live music from local artist, Alfie, helped everyone to embrace the party atmosphere.

Care UK team members also took part in a limbo dancing competition with carer, Laverne Clarke, coming out on top.

Tracy Mitchell, home manager at Abney Court said: “It’s been a busy and exciting couple of years here at Abney Court, so we’re thrilled that we were able to celebrate our second birthday in style with residents, friends and family.

“Here at Abney Court, we are always looking for ways we can build strong relationships with the people of Cheadle, and are delighted everyone got into the spirit of the celebrations. We hope everyone had a fantastic time and are looking forward to what the next 12 months has in store.”
