On Thursday 28th September, from 2pm-4pm, the home will open the doors to the care home on Sunnyside Close for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.
Amanda Eastaugh, from the Stroke Association, will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is and the effects it can have on loved ones. Amanda will also be joined by a member of the local community who has suffered from a stroke and will be able to share their personal experience. Information will be provided on the recovery process, as well as the help that is available.
After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team at Mill View and take a tour of the care home.
Mill View home manager, Debbie Wheeler, said: “At Mill View we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite members of the local community to our Stroke Awareness event.
“We are looking forward to welcoming local people to Mill View for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
