It’s party time at Abney Court

Home news

Abney Court is inviting the local community to celebrate its second birthday with a Caribbean themed party on Thursday 14th September.

From 2pm-5pm, the team at Abney Court, in Abney Hall Park will open the doors to the care home for a day of tropical celebrations.

Guests will be transported to the Caribbean isles with sounds of a traditional steel drum band, as well as limbo dancing. There will also be authentic food served on the barbecue, including spicy jerk chicken.

The Care UK team will also be embracing the theme and donning maracas, pineapples and vibrant headpieces.

Tracy Mitchell, home manager at Abney Court said: “We’re really excited to be celebrating our second birthday with a Caribbean themed party. There is a real buzz around the care home already, with preparations now well underway.

“It is really important for us to build strong relationships with the people of Cheadle, and this event is a great opportunity for local people to see what life is like at Abney Court. We look forward to welcoming those in the area to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day full of family-friendly fun.”
