Perry Manor launches ‘Memory Café’

Home news

Perry Manor is helping to create a dementia-friendly community by launching a memory café.

On Wednesday 13th September, from 10am-12pm, people living with dementia and their loves ones can visit Perry Manor to get support and practical tips on day to day living with memory loss.

Local people in Worcester are invited to attend the free session, which will be held on the second Wednesday of each month following the launch.

The support group will also offer support links for carers and provide an opportunity for attendees to share feelings and experiences.

During the event, attendees can also take the opportunity to meet the Care UK team at Perry Manor and tour the care home.

Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “At Perry Manor we have a commitment to encourage others to learn about dementia, and we are really proud to be launching this free support group for the local community. We want to extend a helping hand to those coping with memory loss, as well as help to educate local people about the effects of dementia.

“We look forward to welcoming members of the Worcester community into our home on Wednesday 13th September, and supporting those living with dementia and their loved ones.”
