Celebrations as VIP guest launches new nursing suite at Abney Court

Home news

Abney Court has launched its new nursing suite with the help of a special guest.

The Mayor of Stockport, Councillor Linda Holt, performed the official ribbon cutting to open the new suite at Abney Court.

Local stakeholders and health care professionals joined the team and residents for the celebration and had the opportunity to take a first look around the new nursing suite, which has the capacity to provide care for fourteen residents, who require nursing care.

After taking a tour of the new suite, guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea prepared by head chef, Steve Dale.

Tracy Mitchell, home manager at Abney Court, said: “As with everything we do at Abney Court, the residents and their families were at the heart of our event to commemorate the opening of the new suite. We were delighted that so many people helped to mark this important milestone, and we’d like to say a special thank you to the Mayor of Stockport who took the time to join us for the celebration.

“We now look forward to welcoming residents to their impressive new home over the coming months.”
