On Saturday 21st April, from 2pm-4.30pm, the team at Elizabeth Lodge will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92ndbirthday, Elizabeth Lodge has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a special performance from local choir, Let the People Sing. Guests will also be able to enjoy a selection of afternoon tea treats.
Michelle Sampang, home manager at Elizabeth Lodge, said: “At Elizabeth Lodge, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours better and build relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day, showcasing all that the home has to offer.
