On Friday 20th April, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Elmstead House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Elmstead House has organised a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the open day, with homemade bunting, inspired by countries from around the Commonwealth, decorating the home. Visitors can look forward to live entertainment and a selection of delicious food from across the continents, prepared fresh by the home’s in-house chef. There will also be the opportunity to meet the friendly team, who will be in Commonwealth inspired dress.
Juliana Ahunanya, home manager at Elmstead House, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the Care UK team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community to the home. Residents have really enjoyed decorating Elmstead House with homemade bunting, inspired by countries from around the Commonwealth. We hope that the people of Hendon will join us in making this year’s event one to remember.”
