On Saturday 21st April, from 12pm-5pm, the team at Paisley Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Paisley Court has organised a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the open day, with homemade bunting, inspired by countries from around the Commonwealth, decorating the home. Visitors can look forward to an Australian style barbecue and fun sporting activities including table tennis, lawn bowls and beach volleyball, as well as a variety of stalls including a tombola and a raffle.
Amanda Ashton, home manager at Paisley Court, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community that spans the generations.
“Residents have enjoyed taking inspiration from countries across the Commonwealth and creating bunting ready to decorate the home on Care Home Open Day. We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase the residents’ homemade decorations and everything that Paisley Court has to offer. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Dovecott.”
