Join Sherwood Grange for a royal celebration this Care Home Open Day

Home news

Sherwood Grange is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

On Friday 20th April, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Sherwood Grange will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Sherwood Grange has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a disco party in the home’s cinema room, and traditional birthday celebrations.

Rick Mayne, home manager at Sherwood Grange, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Kingston Vale will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
