On Friday 25th January, from 12.30pm - 3.30pm Tor-Na-Dee, will open its doors to mark Robert Burns’ birthday with a true Scottish celebration.
Entertainment will include a reading of some of the Scotsman’s most famous poems, as well as a performance from the Scottish Accordion group and a Scottish music sing-along, led by members of the local Rotary Club. Guests will also be treated to a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties specially prepared by Tor-Na-Dee’s chefs.
Maureen Barrett, home manager at Tor-Na-Dee, said: “The local community is a huge part of life at Tor-Na-Dee, and Burns Night is a long-standing Scottish tradition, so our celebrations are a great opportunity to say thank you for their support over the last year.
“Many of the residents have fond memories of celebrating Burns Nights in their younger years, so this event will also be the perfect opportunity for them to reminisce and share stories of the past with our guests. We are looking forward to being joined by the community for a fantastic day of celebrations, in true Scottish fashion!”
