Ahead of its opening in February, Smyth Lodge is searching for local people or organisations who go above and beyond for their community, friends or family, and have a positive impact on the local area.
The winner of the ‘local heroes’ competition will receive £300 and will be invited to the opening of Sidcup’s newest care home at its grand launch event in March 2019. There will also be cash prizes of £200 and £100, to be awarded for second and third place respectively.
Lorraine Eastmead, home manager at Smyth Lodge, said: “We all know that one person who organises everything, is always there for others and never shies away from offering a helping hand – so here at Smyth Lodge we want to say thank you.
“Whether they’re a volunteer at a local charity, or community group that really makes a difference to the area, or simply someone who goes the extra mile for others – share your story with us so we can reward them with the treat they deserve.”
To nominate your ‘local hero’, visit careuk.com/smyth-lodge/local-heroes before midnight on 1st March 2019 and explain in 100-400 words why they deserve to be rewarded.
