Twickenham care home celebrates national award win

A care home in Twickenham is celebrating after it was recognised at a national awards ceremony.

The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 120 care homes nationwide across Care UK.

Care UK’s Whitefarm Lodge, on Vicarage Road, was awarded the Customer Service Excellence award, one of 20 accolades handed out during the event.

The panel of judges praised the home team for their outstanding service throughout the year. The home has a 94 per cent relative satisfaction score for treating relatives with kindness, dignity and respect, and demonstrates their commitment by always going the extra mile to support residents and relatives on their care journey. One relative said "My relative is so happy, when I’m there I can see they are friendly, attentive and kind to her.”

Shane Cosgrove, home manager at Whitefarm Lodge, said: “The awards ceremony was a truly inspirational evening – it was brilliant to hear about the dedication of team members, as well as the positive impact this has had on residents, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.
