Work starts on multi-million pound Chichester care home

Work has now started to build a new multi-million care home in Chichester.

When complete, the new Care UK site, on Grosvenor Road, will provide full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 75 older people, and will create 45 new jobs.

The two-storey home, which is expected to welcome the first residents in October 2021, will include facilities such as a cinema, café and hair salon. Secure and wheelchair friendly landscaped outdoor space will include sensory gardens, water features and seating to give residents the opportunity to spend quality time outdoors.

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, the new Care UK home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the building will be configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
