Witney care home celebrates national award win

A care home in Witney is celebrating after it was recognised at a national awards ceremony.

Care UK’s Millers Grange, on Curbridge Road, was awarded first place for ‘Great Dementia Care’ in the Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars Awards.

 

The awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 150 care homes nationwide across Care UK’s RCS division.

The ‘Great Dementia Care’ award celebrates a team who deliver exceptional levels of dementia care, adopting innovative ways to support residents while enhancing quality of life through meaningful engagement.

The team at Millers Grange were commended on their approach to dementia care – fostering a warm and supportive environment from the moment you step in the front door.

With particular focus on supporting residents to remain in control of their own lives as much as possible, the team recognise the individual needs, desires and characteristics of the residents, helping those living with dementia to retain a strong sense of self.

Alison Parry, Home Manager at Millers Grange, said: “We’re honoured to have been crowned winners in the ‘Great Dementia Care’ category.

“The whole team here at Millers Grange go above and beyond to build strong relationships with the residents and their families, supporting them through what can be a difficult journey with respect, dignity and as much fun as possible.
