Bracknell care home delivers Christmas magic to blue light workers

Home news

A care home in Bracknell is supporting blue light workers on their way to their vital jobs this festive season.

The team at Care UK’s Bickerton House, on Warfield Road, delivered free breakfasts to Bracknell Fire Station and opened their doors for blue light workers in the community to pop in for breakfast as a small token of thanks for their hard work.

The head chef at Bickerton House created bacon, sausage, gluten free and vegetarian breakfast baps for those who play vital roles in the community, including local doctors and nurses.

Carl Francis, Home Manager, Craig Massingham, Head chef, Katie Spiers, Lifestyle, and Leahanne Wilkinson, Customer Relations Manager also delivered breakfast baps, alongside mince pies, and festive treats to the fire men and women at Bracknell Fire Station to enjoy as they finished busy night shifts or started their day.

Carl Francis, Home Manager at Bickerton House, said: “We wanted to spread some festive cheer and thank our local blue light workers for all they do for our community.

“Here at Bickerton House, we love raising funds for local charities and giving back to the community. With this being a very busy time of year, we thought what better way to express love towards all those who work in blue light roles than through a warm breakfast and some festive treats.

“The whole team would like to express our gratitude to all the blue light workers and everyone at Bracknell Fire Station for all that they do. Thank you and Merry Chirstmas!”

Bickerton House has been designed to encourage residents to live active and fulfilling lives, while remaining as independent as possible in a safe environment. The state-of-the-art care home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care and features a bar and café, cinema, hair salon, activities room and garden.
