A care home in Sidcup is opening its doors for a day of summer fun, with a host of exciting activities planned to support a good cause.
On Saturday 19th July from 2.30pm–4.30pm, the team at Care UK’s Smyth Lodge, on Frognal Avenue, will be welcoming the local community to the home’s summer fete to help raise money for children’s charity Clowns in the Sky, which is dedicated to supporting children with brain tumours.
Residents, relatives and guests will be able to browse and enjoy a variety of food from the pop-up stalls. A delicious barbecue prepared by the home’s Head Chef will also be on offer, along with a cold glass of either Pimm’s, prosecco or beer.
And if they’re feeling lucky, guests can enter the home's raffle and take part in a game of tombola.
Tracey Cheeseman, Home Manager at Smyth Lodge, said: “Maintaining strong relationships with the community is an important part of our ethos, and hosting our summer fair provides us with a wonderful opportunity to welcome the people of Sidcup into our home.
“We are delighted to celebrate summer together in style. Everyone is looking forward to having friends, family and neighbours join us for a day of good old-fashioned fun – with lots of friendly competition too!
“We hope as many people as possible will be able to attend to help us support a wonderful cause.”
Smyth Lodge has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives.
