Bury care home celebrates 10th birthday with suite unveiling

Residents and team members at a Bury St Edmunds care home were joined by a VIP guest for a very special celebration.

Care UK’s Glastonbury Court, on Glastonbury Road, marked its 10^th anniversary with the grand launch of its new Edmund Suite, which was declared open by Mayor of Bury St Edmunds Councillor Donna Higgins, who cut the ribbon and joined residents and the local community for the festivities.

Guests were treated to an afternoon to remember, with live entertainment harpist Zoe Anderton to get everyone into the celebratory spirit. 

After enjoying a glass of bubbly and canapés, visitors had the opportunity to tour the home and ask questions to the care team.

Ana Mihai, Home Manager at Glastonbury Court, said: “Our birthday celebration and grand launch of the Edmund Suite was a huge success, and we loved celebrating with the Bury St Edmunds community.

“We would like to extend a big thank you to Councillor Donna Higgins for cutting the ribbon. It truly was a day to remember, and we hope to welcome everyone again very soon for more fantastic events at Glastonbury Court.”

Glastonbury Court is a modern care home providing full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. It has its very own cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub, and there is plenty of space – both indoors and out – for relaxation and recreation.
