Yate care home named one of best in region

A care home in Yate has been recognised as one of the best in the south-west by the UK’s leading care home review website.

carehome.co.uk celebrates excellence in care with its annual Care Home Awards, and this year has named Care UK’s Ladden View as one of the top 20 in the region.

The prestigious awards honour homes that have received outstanding reviews in the past year from those who matter most: residents, service users and their families and friends. 

With a score of 10 – the highest possible rating – 100% of reviewers for Ladden View rated the care home as ‘excellent’. 

One review said: “From the very first time I stepped into Ladden View for our look-around to present day, my experience has been wonderful. Staff are caring, understanding and have time to chat to family and residents.

“Food is fantastic, and it was really lovely to have been invited to stay for lunch on Mum's first day. Can't fault Ladden View – an amazing place to visit and to live.”

Another review said: “My cousin fell in love with Ladden View the moment she came to visit. She has settled in quickly and is very happy here. She loves the staff, the food and the general ambience, and hopes she will spend the rest of her days here.

“From living alone and not mixing much, she now has plenty of company/social contact and enjoys joining in with the craft sessions. It's given her a new lease of life. Thank you.”

The Fletcher Road home is known for its commitment to enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. It provides daily group and one-to-one activities, weekly coffee mornings and a Wishing Tree initiative that encourages residents to put forward their desires to reconnect with a past hobby or try something new.

Ladden View is a new, state-of-the-art care home providing full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. It has its very own cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub, along with plenty of space – both indoors and out – for relaxation and recreation.
