Cardiff care home named one of best in region

A care home in Cardiff has been recognised as one of the best in Wales by the UK’s leading care home review website.

carehome.co.uk celebrates excellence in care with its annual Care Home Awards, and this year has named Care UK’s Llys Cyncoed as one of the top 20 in the region.

The prestigious awards honour homes that have received outstanding reviews in the past year from those who matter most: residents, service users and their families and friends. 

With a score of 10*, 100% of reviewers for Llys Cyncoed rated the care home as ‘excellent’. 

One review said: “I cannot recommend Llys Cyncoed highly enough, from initial enquiries to the outstanding level of care received during a particularly difficult time. The care team became friends and the level of assistance and compassion shown was second to none.”

Another review said: “There is no doubt that Llys Cyncoed is an absolutely exceptional care home.

We visited many before choosing, and we are so glad we made it our choice.

“From the start of this difficult journey, the staff have gone above and beyond in supporting us with Mum, and their attention to detail is excellent. We would definitely recommend Llys Cyncoed and would like to thank all the staff for making us feel at home.”

The Cyncoed Road home is known for its commitment to enabling residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. It provides daily group and one-to-one activities, weekly support cafés and a Wishing Tree initiative that encourages residents to put forward their desires to reconnect with a past hobby or try something new.
